Futbol Couture is your runway — and your pitch. We are bringing emerging and established designers onto the same stage in Portland during the global energy of World Cup season, and we are investing in you to do it. Selected emerging designers receive material stipends, shipping support, and the option to work alongside paid mentors as they develop 1–3 looks that will walk the runway and live on in a curated gallery installation. This is more than exposure — it’s equitable access, professional infrastructure, and a platform built to elevate your voice at the intersection of soccer, fashion, and culture.

  • Portland, Oregon — home to global sport and apparel headquarters WHQ for Nike, UnderArmor, Columbia Sportswear, Pendleton, Keen, Dr. Martens, Nau and USHQ for Adidas. Futbol Couture places emerging designers at the center of the global sport-fashion ecosystem.

    • March 21st – Applications due

    • April 1st – Acceptance notifications + material stipends distributed

    • April 26 – European submissions deadline (Berlin)

    • May 15 – U.S. submissions deadline (Portland)

    • June 1 – Artist statements + links due

    • Early June 2026 – Event in Portland

  • Designers should submit 1–3 completed looks.
    Each look will:

    1. Walk the runway

    2. Be installed in a gallery setting

    3. Include your artist statement and contact information in the gallery and in the event program

  • If selected for mentorship:

    • You’ll participate in an initial goal-setting meeting

    • Present your concept to a mentor

    • Receive structured feedback and guiding questions

    • Have access to ongoing virtual check-ins

    • Receive an additional stipend upon completion

    Mentors are compensated for their expertise — this is real infrastructure, not symbolic support.

  • Selected emerging designers receive:

    • $50 materials stipend upon acceptance

    • Shipping support for completed pieces

    • Optional mentorship track with structured support

    • Additional completion stipend if working with a mentor

    • Runway presentation + gallery installation

    • Professional exposure with audience, sponsors, and industry leaders

    This is a flipped model — emerging designers are paid to participate.
