Roots FC
Roots FC is the connective tissue for all of Cada Casa’s soccer work — a community-first ecosystem built to make the game accessible, expressive, and culturally grounded. Through programs like Multicultural Soccer, Roots Futsal, Inter7, FC Fútbol Collective, and Futsal Clandestino, Roots FC meets players where they are: on school fields, neighborhood courts, indoor gyms, and improvised street pitches. We remove financial, linguistic, and cultural barriers by providing free or low-cost play, uniforms, coaching, and consistent access for players who are too often excluded from pay-to-play systems.
Beyond competition, Roots FC treats soccer as culture — blending sport with art, music, design, and storytelling—creating pathways for youth to lead, create, and belong. This vision continues to expand through future projects like Fútbol Couture, a Spring 2026 celebration that merges soccer, fashion, and community expression. Together, Roots FC reflects Cada Casa’s belief that fútbol is more than a game — it is a language, a gathering place, and a powerful tool for equity, identity, and joy.
Futsal Clandestino:
Futsal Clandestino is an underground summer league where Westside Portland’s most elite street soccer players come together in a raw, high-energy environment that blurs the lines between sport, culture, and community. Played on tight courts with fast feet and fearless creativity, the game is fueled by live DJs setting the tempo, fashion-forward kits and streetwear in the stands, and a rotating mix of food and drink vendors that turn each match into a full cultural gathering. It’s part futsal, part block party, part art show—an intentionally grassroots space where competition is fierce, style matters, and community comes first. Futsal Clandestino isn’t just about winning games; it’s about celebrating the rhythm, identity, and creativity of street soccer culture in a way that feels authentic, inclusive, and undeniably alive.

Multicultural Soccer
Cada Casa supports various Multicultural Soccer Teams throughout Beaverton and Hillsboro School District. In efforts to combat the pay-to-play model, we facilitate accessible, community-based soccer, with a focus reducing barriers of entry for students of color and immigrants. The world’s game for all.

Inter7
Filling the gap between intermittent rec and inaccessible club, we bring Inter7: an accessible and culturally relevant 7v7 fútbol program. Currently in its pilot program phase at Beaverton High, we facilitate the world’s game for players without a team and develop leadership for those who want to make their own.

Roots Futsal
Despite our community’s best intentions, if you build it - they will come, didn’t quite work the way we wanted. Futsal has been growing tremendously in and around Portland, but it has fallen into the same problem as soccer: a boutique sport that requires committed parents willing to pay and drive. It’s not the same game that children across the world play until they either run out of light or are told to come in for dinner. But the courts are there. We just need to show the kids how to use them.
